Uma equipe da Base Móvel da Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) de Sorocaba deteve, na manhã de domingo (18), um homem de 24 anos de idade, por tráfico de drogas. Ele foi abordado na Praça Edmundo Vale, na Vila Santana, inicialmente apenas como suspeito de roubo a um munícipe, momentos antes, e estava com nove porções de drogas e dinheiro.
A vítima foi quem acionou a GCM, após ter sua correntinha arrancada do pescoço pelo acusado, que fugiu a pé pela Rua Mascarenhas Camelo. Ela realizaria o registro da ocorrência por meio eletrônico e de posse das características do suspeito, a equipe iniciou diligências com o objetivo de localizar o possível autor.
Durante patrulhamento pela referida praça, os guardas avistaram um homem com características compatíveis com as descritas. Após a abordagem e, em busca pessoal, foram localizadas sete porções de cocaína, uma de crack e uma de maconha, mais R$ 53,10 em dinheiro.
O homem foi conduzido, com apoio operacional, ao Plantão da Polícia Civil, onde a ocorrência foi apresentada. O suspeito permaneceu à disposição da Justiça, enquadrado no artigo 33 da Lei nº 11.343/06 (Lei de Drogas), sob a responsabilidade da autoridade policial de plantão, para investigar, inclusive, a questão envolvendo o roubo.
