A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria da Segurança Urbana (Sesu), realizou, nesta sexta-feira (26), a formatura de 400 alunos do 6º ao 9º ano da E.M. “Leonor Pinto Thomaz”, que participaram do projeto “Tô de boa… Drogas nem pensar!”. O evento aconteceu na quadra de esportes da escola, com a presença de autoridades, além das turmas de estudantes atendidas, funcionários da escola e do cão-terapeuta da Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM), Buddy.
A iniciativa da Sesu conta com apoio da Secretaria de Comunicação (Secom) e proporciona ações dirigidas aos alunos do Ensino Fundamental nos anos finais, levando orientação e conscientização sobre contra as drogas, em um trabalho preventivo.
“Hoje celebramos a formatura de mais um grupo de jovens comprometidos a aprender sobre os riscos das drogas e a importância da prevenção. Sejam a ferramenta para construir um futuro melhor para vocês e para nossa comunidade. Parabéns a todos os formandos!”, enfatizou o prefeito Rodrigo Manga, momentos antes de iniciar a entrega dos certificados.
“É uma satisfação muito grande trazer para os jovens as informações sobre drogas, explicando como podem afetar a vida de vocês e, principalmente, como combatê-las”, destacou o secretário da Sesu, João Alberto Corrêa Maia.
Na ocasião, o Chefe de Seção do Canil da GCM, Wellington de Almeida Torres, fez apresentação divertida com o cão-terapeuta Buddy, que obedeceu aos comandos e interagiu com os alunos.
As palestras do projeto são realizadas pelo assessor de gabinete da Sesu, André Moron, que é ex-delegado da Polícia Civil. Ele aborda sobre os tipos de drogas psicotrópicas, os motivos que levam a pessoa ao uso de entorpecentes, sintomas físicos, mudanças súbitas de comportamento e personalidade, tratamento para dependentes, drogas lícitas e ilícitas, a classificação das drogas e os seus malefícios à saúde.
“É muito gratificante liderar uma iniciativa como essa e conscientizar sobre os impactos nocivos das substâncias ilícitas à saúde integral dos jovens. Foi um privilégio colaborar com os estudantes do ‘Leonor’, referência escolar no coração da cidade”, disse André Moron. O intuito é construir uma cultura de prevenção nas escolas da rede municipal, esclarecendo dúvidas e sensibilizando os estudantes sobre a importância de se manter longe desse tipo de substâncias.
Ainda participaram da formatura, os secretários municipais da Educação (Sedu), Clayton Lustosa; de Gabinete Central (SGC), Evandro Bueno; a diretora da E.M. “Leonor Pinto Thomaz”, Daniele de Oliveira Tersigni; a gestora da Sedu, Flávia Arruda; o subcomandante da GCM, Leandro Oliveira e o vereador de São Paulo, Adrilles Jorge.
