A Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) de Sorocaba, durante ação de fiscalização de veículos abandonados, localizou uma motocicleta estacionada de forma suspeita no Jardim Maria do Carmo, Zona Leste da cidade, às 19h32, na quarta-feira (21). O veículo apresentava sinais de adulteração no chassi.
Após consulta do emplacamento, foi constatada divergência nos dados, pois a placa correspondia a outro veículo, modelo Ford Escort. Na verificação dos sinais identificadores, foi constatado que a numeração do chassi estava parcialmente apagada, restando apenas os cinco últimos dígitos, além do número do motor.
Durante os procedimentos, uma mulher compareceu no local e se apresentou como proprietária do veículo, informando ter adquirido a motocicleta pela internet e portando a chave. No entanto, ao ser informada de que a motocicleta seria apresentada à Delegacia de Polícia, alterou sua versão, alegando que o veículo pertenceria ao seu namorado, recusando-se a identificá-lo e demonstrando intenção de deixar o local.
Com o apoio de outra viatura, a condutora foi encaminhada ao Plantão da Polícia Civil, para registro de boletim de ocorrência por Adulteração de Sinal Identificador de Veículo (artigo 311 do Código Penal). A motocicleta foi recolhida e a mulher liberada para prestar esclarecimentos posteriores, no decorrer das investigações do caso.
A Lei 14.562/2023 criminaliza a adulteração de sinais identificadores de veículos, como placas, chassi, motor, monobloco, entre outros. O infrator é passível de pena de detenção de três a seis anos ou multa.
