A manhã desta quarta-feira (17) foi de motivo de muita alegria e confraternização na Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) Barcelona. O motivo foi a finalização das atividades do Grupo de ginástica para idosos e portadores de doenças crônicas, que entrou em recesso de fim de ano com direito à festa e comemoração.
O grupo teve início por meio do desenvolvimento do projeto de pesquisa intitulada “Modificação do status de fragilidade em idosos: eficácia do treinamento intervalo com peso corporal”, sob responsabilidade e condução do pesquisador e educador físico Lucas Marques Vieira, com apoio do profissional de Educação Física Leandro Oliveira em articulação junto à Educação e Saúde da Secretaria Municipal da Saúde (SES), cujo projeto repercutiu com grande eficácia e aprovação dos participantes.
O grupo viabilizou o momento oportuno para idosos que não executavam nenhuma atividade física em suas rotinas diárias a oportunidade de inseri-los para participar na própria Unidade Básica de Saúde. O projeto proveu muitos benefícios para os usuário, como melhora da mobilidade e equilíbrio, controle de doenças crônicas, promoção na saúde mental, melhora na qualidade de vida, aumento da socialização, além de evidenciar avanços positivos nos indicadores de saúde para o território.
Ao longo do ano, as atividades ocorrem todas as segundas e quartas-feiras, das 8h às 9h, sendo conduzida pela professora Karine Saraiva (ADES). O grupo retorna às atividades normais a partir do dia 5 de janeiro de 2026, e está aberto para toda população.
