A Prefeitura de Sorocaba realizou “Operação Ferro-Velho”, na manhã desta quinta-feira (11), no Jardim Hungarês, Zona Norte da cidade, e interditou temporariamente um estabelecimento que funcionava irregularmente. Ele somente poderá reabrir após regularizar a situação administrativa.
A operação foi feita pelo Setor de Fiscalização de Posturas, da Secretaria Planejamento e Desenvolvimento Urbano (Seplan), com o apoio da Guarda civil Municipal (GCM) e da Zoonoses, ligada à Secretaria da Saúde (SES). O objetivo é coibir casos de receptação de materiais sem procedência ou alvo de furto, além de checar denúncias e identificar possíveis ocorrências nos âmbitos criminal e administrativo.
O estabelecimento também ocupava área pública como depósito. Com o auxilio de dois caminhões do Setor de Zoonoses foram retirados todos os materiais do local. O proprietário foi notificado pela falta de licença e para o encerramento da atividade até a regularização, bem como notificado por obstrução de calçada.
Na ocasião, um veículo abandonado foi encontrado e o proprietário notificado para retirá-lo dentro do prazo de cinco dias.
Somente em 2024, 190 ferros-velhos foram fiscalizados, emitidos cerca de 90 autos de infração, entre multas e notificações, e realizadas 15 interdições. Neste ano, foram 220 ferros-velhos fiscalizados e 86 interditados temporariamente.
