A Prefeitura de Sorocaba realizou “Operação Ferro-Velho”, na manhã desta quinta-feira (31), e interditou temporariamente um estabelecimento que funcionava irregularmente no Parque São Bento, localizado na Zona Norte da cidade.
A operação foi feita pelo Setor de Fiscalização de Posturas, da Secretaria Planejamento e Desenvolvimento Urbano (Seplan), com o apoio da Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM). O objetivo é coibir casos de receptação de materiais sem procedência ou alvo de furto, além de checar denúncias e identificar possíveis ocorrências nos âmbitos criminal e administrativo.
O estabelecimento no Parque São Bento teve de encerrar as atividades temporariamente, após notificação de advertência pela falta de licença de funcionamento. O local somente poderá reabrir após o proprietário regularizar a situação administrativa.
Ainda durante as ações, outro estabelecimento, localizado no bairro de Brigadeiro Tobias, Zona Leste da cidade, não foi encontrado de acordo com as informações prestadas na denúncia.
Somente em 2024, 190 ferros-velhos foram fiscalizados, sendo emitidos cerca de 90 autos de infração, entre multas e notificações, e 15 interdições. Neste ano, foram 123 ferros-velhos fiscalizados e 46 interditados temporariamente.
