Estudantes do Colégio Primeiro Mundo participaram, na manhã da quarta-feira (10), da primeira edição do projeto “Descubra”, promovido pela Secretaria do Turismo (Setur), com o objetivo de apresentar atrativos turísticos e pontos históricos da região central de Sorocaba.
Os vinte alunos visitaram, em uma caminhada de aproximadamente três quilômetros, pontos clássicos da história central da cidade, passando por atrativos como o Fórum Velho, a Galeria Santa Clara, o prédio dos Correios, a Praça Coronel Fernando Prestes, a Estação Ferroviária e a Catedral Metropolitana.
As paradas no trajeto da caminhada, por sua vez, aconteceram no Mercado Municipal, na Casa do Artesão do Shopping Pátio Cianê, no Museu da Estrada de Ferro Sorocabana, no Terminal Santo Antônio, no Museu de Arte Contemporânea (MACS) e no Gabinete de Leitura, onde os jovens puderam explorar pontos turísticos que nunca tinham visitado, mas que são ricos em história.
Antes do percurso, eles também conheceram a Casa do Turista e aprenderam com os servidores sobre o funcionamento da unidade. “Sorocaba recebe turistas o tempo todo, do Brasil e até do exterior. Mostramos aos alunos que a nossa sede está sempre pronta para oferecer esse ponto de apoio aos visitantes que nos procuram”, conta Adriana Cesar, Chefe de Divisão da Setur.
Para Felipe de Paula, coordenador pedagógico do Colégio Primeiro Mundo, participar do projeto propiciou novos conhecimentos sobre Sorocaba. “Eles ficaram encantados com a forma como foram acolhidos e vivenciaram uma experiência muito significativa. Esse carinho e cuidado fazem toda a diferença no processo educativo”, destacou.
Cada edição do projeto “Descubra” engloba temas variados, como os ciclos ferroviário, têxtil ou histórico-cultural, acontecendo mediante a solicitação dos interessados, com grupos mínimos de vinte participantes.
