O Serviço Autônomo de Água e Esgoto (Saae) de Sorocaba concluiu as obras para implantação de novo emissário de esgoto, percorrendo trecho da Avenida Juvenal de Campos, no Jardim Faculdade, Zona Sul da cidade. As intervenções tiveram início na primeira quinzena de janeiro deste ano e foram finalizadas nesta semana.
A iniciativa visou substituir a rede antiga existente no local, por um material mais resistente, mais resistente à alta pressão e para ampliar a capacidade de recalque, garantindo proteção e funcionamento adequado do sistema de esgoto da região.
Foram implantados cerca de 300 metros de tubulação de PVC, de 500 milímetros de diâmetro, no trecho entre a Estação Elevatória de Esgoto (EEE – 05), situada na confluência da Avenida Juvenal de Campos com a Rua Bernardo Ferraz de Almeida, até a ponte José Sanches, nas proximidades da Praça Dom Tadeu Strunck.
Duas frentes de trabalho atuaram no local, sendo uma para assentamento da tubulação e outra para recomposição do pavimento, como forma de agilizar os serviços, causando o mínimo de transtorno possível aos moradores da região e aos que transitavam pelo local.
Ainda neste mês de fevereiro, somente serão finalizados os últimos detalhes de acabamento da obra, como concretagem da calçada e pista de ciclovia, por exemplo.
