A Base Comunitária da Guarda Civil Municipal no bairro Aparecidinha iniciou, neste sábado (22), o atendimento 24 horas à população, ampliando o trabalho preventivo e de proximidade com a comunidade.
Para ter o funcionamento 24 horas por dia, as equipes serão organizadas em turnos de 12 horas. Em cada turno, haverá dois Guardas Civis Municipais (GCMs) fixos na base, além de uma viatura com mais dois guardas, responsáveis pelo patrulhamento no bairro. O trabalho também contará com o apoio de outra viatura, direcionada durante o turno para reforçar as ações preventivas e o atendimento das demandas da região.
Após aprovação do projeto de lei na Câmara Municipal, o espaço passará a ser denominado Base Comunitária da Guarda Civil Municipal “Marcos Antonio de Campos”, em homenagem ao guarda Civil Municipal que adotava o nome profissional de “Campos”.
Nascido em 19 de janeiro de 1961, ingressou na Guarda Civil Municipal de Sorocaba em 1º de outubro de 1992, dedicou 25 anos de sua vida à corporação, até seu falecimento, em 8 de fevereiro de 2018. Durante sua trajetória, atuou em diversas áreas da GCM, entre elas o policiamento comunitário e o apoio tático às equipes, exercendo suas funções com dignidade, dedicação e, acima de tudo, lealdade.
Esta é a sexta base comunitária da GCM em atividade, que já possui o serviço nas unidades do Parque das Águas, Parque dos Espanhóis, Wanel Ville, Éden, Brigadeiro Tobias e Aparecidinha. De acordo com a GCM, mais duas unidades serão entregues após revitalização: Maria Eugênia e São Bento.
