A Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) de Sorocaba participou de perseguição a um veículo suspeito pelas ruas do Jardim Guaíba, na Zona Norte de Sorocaba, na noite de sexta-feira (3). A equipe interceptou o carro, sendo que o condutor fugiu a pé. O automóvel ainda se chocou contra a viatura da GCM, provocando danos no para-choque dianteiro.
Os guardas faziam patrulhamento preventivo pelo bairro e, por volta das 19h15, foram acionados por munícipes, que denunciaram um veículo de cor vermelha que realizava manobras perigosas nas imediações.
Ao localizar o automóvel, a GCM deu ordem de parada, com uso de sinais luminosos e sonoros, à qual foi desobedecida pelo condutor, que iniciou fuga em alta velocidade, colocando em risco outros veículos e pedestres.
Durante o acompanhamento, o suspeito acessou a Avenida Ulisses Guimarães e, na Rua Antônio Souza Ribeiro de Quevedo, quase atropelou pedestres. A equipe conseguiu interceptar o veículo nas proximidades do número 498, momento em que o indivíduo abandonou o automóvel e fugiu a pé, não sendo localizado.
Antes de fugir, o condutor deixou o veículo, um Chevrolet Onix de cor vermelha, em ponto neutro e, em trecho de declive, fazendo com que o carro colidisse contra a viatura da GCM.
O veículo foi apreendido e encaminhado à Delegacia de Polícia, onde a ocorrência foi apresentada à autoridade de plantão, para registro de boletim de ocorrência por desobediência, com autoria desconhecida. A Polícia Civil dará prosseguimento às investigações.
