A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Defesa Civil, encaminhou, na manhã desta terça-feira (15), produtos de primeira necessidade à população atingida pelas enchentes, nos municípios de Eldorado e Iporanga, no Vale do Ribeira. O Governo de São Paulo homologou situação de emergência na região, atingida por fortes chuvas desde a última sexta-feira (11).
O comboio, que saiu do Aeroporto de Sorocaba por volta das 10h35, é formado por três caminhonetes da Defesa Civil, carregadas com garrafas de água, cobertores, colchões, produtos de limpeza e higiene. Além disso, um helicóptero, cedido por uma empresa e sem custos à municipalidade, saiu de Sorocaba carregado com águas e cobertores. Na noite de segunda-feira (10), a Prefeitura já havia destinado dois caminhões-pipa aos municípios, para serem usados na limpeza de vias públicas.
O prefeito Rodrigo Manga acompanha a entrega dos donativos em Eldorado, juntamente ao secretário de Mobilidade e coordenador interino da Defesa Civil, Carlos Eduardo Paschoini. “Existem famílias que estão em áreas isoladas pela chuva e poderão ser atendidas por esse helicóptero, cujo transporte de donativos conseguimos em doação, com pessoas que entenderam a necessidade dos moradores dessa região”, diz o prefeito.
Como doar
A Prefeitura de Sorocaba continua mobilizada para o recebimento de doações às vítimas de enchentes no Vale do Ribeira. São prioridade produtos como água, alimentos não perecíveis, cobertores, roupas, colchões, produtos de limpeza e de higiene.
A população pode entregar os donativos ao Fundo Social de Solidariedade (FSS), localizado na Avenida Rudolf Dafferner, 65, Alto da Boa Vista, próximo ao Paço Municipal. Mais informações estão disponíveis pelo telefone (15) 3238-2503.
