A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria da Cidadania (Secid), desenvolve ao longo do mês uma série de ações de conscientização referentes ao Dia Mundial contra o Trabalho Infantil, lembrado anualmente em 12 de junho. Entre as iniciativas, a “Faixa Viva Contra o Trabalho Infantil” acontece em cruzamentos de grande circulação e outros pontos estratégicos da cidade, com o intuito de sensibilizar a população sobre os impactos do trabalho infantil e mobilizar a sociedade para o enfrentamento dessa violação de direitos.
Nesta terça-feira (9), a ação ocorreu em semáforos ao longo da Avenida Antonio Carlos Comitre, no Campolim: nos cruzamentos com a Avenida Washington Luiz e a Rua Pedro Molina; no Parque “Carlos Alberto de Souza”; e nas confluências com a Avenida Izoraida Marques Peres e com a Rua Antonio Perez Hernandez. Os profissionais da rede socioassistencial da Secid exibiram faixas com mensagens de conscientização aos motoristas e entregaram materiais informativos.
Segundo a secretária da Cidadania, Ana Claudia Fauaz, a programação do mês de junho busca conscientizar a população sobre os riscos e prejuízos do trabalho infantil. “É importante que a população saiba identificar esse tipo de violação, assim como encaminhar denúncias à nossa rede de proteção integral às crianças e adolescentes, que atua de forma permanente e durante o ano inteiro”, explica.
“Faixa Viva Contra o Trabalho Infantil”
A campanha municipal reforça a importância do engajamento coletivo para garantir que crianças e adolescentes tenham seus direitos assegurados, como o acesso à educação, ao lazer e à convivência familiar e comunitária. A Organização Internacional do Trabalho (OIT) instituiu o 12 de junho como o Dia Mundial contra o Trabalho Infantil em 2002, data da apresentação do primeiro relatório global sobre o trabalho infantil na Conferência Anual do Trabalho. No Brasil, a data foi criada pela Lei Federal 11.542/2007
Nos próximos dias, a Secid promoverá a “Faixa Viva Contra o Trabalho Infantil” em pontos de grande circulação de veículos e pessoas no cruzamento das Avenidas Comendador Pereira Inácio e Washington Luiz, no Vergueiro; Avenida Dom Aguirre (Praça Lions, Corpo de Bombeiros, Ponte Salomão Pavlovsky e Ponte de Pinheiros); região central (Praça Coronel Fernando Prestes; Ruas São Bento, 15 de Novembro e Souza Pereira; no entorno do Mercado Municipal e nos cruzamentos das Ruas Padre Luiz e Sete de Setembro e da Avenida Afonso Vergueiro com a Rua Miranda Azevedo); Avenida São Paulo (regiões da Árvore Grande, Além Ponte e Jardim Astro); Alto da Boa Vista (cruzamento da Avenida Eng.º Carlos Reinaldo Mendes com a Rua Sadrac de Arruda); e novamente no Campolim.
